Employee Benefited from Company's Tuition Reimbursement Program
VENICE, Fla. June 7, 2007 -- As testament to their dedication to professional growth, 13 PGT employees will graduate Saturday, June 9, from Webster University's Sarasota/Manatee Campus with MBA's after taking advantage of the company's on-site compus and tuition reimbursement program.
The graduation ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Ranch Town Hall, 8175 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Bradenton.
"This is especially exciting because this is the most employees we have had graduate at once," said Rod Hershberger, PGT President and CEO "It is very gratifying to see employees benefiting from the programs we offer. We strive to offer benefits that go beyou 'just a paycheck'; we want to positvely impact many aspects of employees' lives." Five other employees have already received their MBA from Webster and there are an additional 10 PGT employees currently enrolled at Webster taking classes on-site at PGT toward a BA or MBA. So far in 2007, more than 70 PGT employees have participated in the tuition reimbursement program, and in 2006 alone the company paid out more that $245.000 in tuition reimbursement.
Other PGT benefits include athletic club membership, summer camp voucher program, employee assistance support programs (Crisis Connection), an on-site wellness programs, 401(k), and several health and dental plan option, including cancer insurance.
